The Dog Ate My Stamping Polish
Yes, its true. As I like spending time painting my nails, the hound gets jealous and he 'hides' polishes. This week alone I have lost a bottle of Seche Vite and two bottles of China Glaze. He usually hides them under the sofa, and brings them out when you least suspect it so he can run away while chewing.
So, when I came to stamp today and my wonderful Barry M Silver Nail Foil was missing I knew who to blame. As I had an idea of what I wanted, nothing else would do and I have had to buy a replacement bottle. However, he is threatened that if he doesn't find it quick smart he is going to be in big trouble.
Today's pink for Breast Cancer Awareness is actually Magenta Motion from the Sally Hansen Insta-dri range. It goes on so well you only really need one coat. Although I have used two. The stamping is from Konad plate M65.
I think it looks quite delicious.

A day of two peaks...no, not 'those' peaks
Absolutely love this mani, I did it this morning and it made my heart soar. The PeriPeri polish is scented, and it put me off slightly. But, over the day I have been asked several times by different folk why I am sniffing my fingers and I am glad to report it is for no reason more seedy than I have fantastic smelling polish on my fingertips. The shade is P043, and it has a wonderful cat lid.
The base polish is Sally Hansen Rose -a-go-go from the Insta-dri range. It dries matt, which was a pleasant surprise, but it is a really hungry polish and snaffled up loads of seche vite before I realised I had enough, it just wanted more.
Incredible lows today aswell. Its been nearly 5 months since my husband saw his children and it is breaking his heart, and mine. I wish there was something I could do about it, but alas, the decisions are being taken out of our hands.
I wish you all well, and if you have kiddly peeps hug them tightly tonight from me.

31 Day Nail Challenge #27 Inspired by Art
I found this challenge a bit difficult, as I don't have an artist I go crazy for. But, I do own a very wonderful Doug Hyde picture which was brought for my first wedding anniversary. So, I had a look for one of his designs I could replicate on my nails.
I decided on this picture.
Then it turned our complete trash, so I changed to an 'interpretation' of this one
For this manicure I used Sally Hansen Insta-dri Whirlwind White, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Delphinium and a couple of sharpies!
Here are the results.
If anyone is interested in the artist, here is a link to his webpage
http://www.doughyde.com/
If he see's this, I apologise for massacaring your lifes work. It isn't intentional, I tried hard.
Here are what the other people taking part in the challenge have done.

MSE Challenge - Gradient
I am running a week out of kilter, and I have made the preparations for my rainbow, but I won't be able to complete it until this afternoon. So, I decided to get my diddle on with the gradient.
Now, if you have viewed my blog in the past you will know how successful my gradients are and that they are something I just adore doing - NOT. ( this is the last effort http://nailpron.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/31-day-challenge-10-gradient-fail.html ) but I decided to take on all the suggestions I have received and went for a darker second colour to try and emphasise the gradient. I also was a bit more brave with the dabbing and used a sponge with a bit of a more open texture. Well, you ladies are damn amazing as it only bloomin worked.
Admittedly, this still isn't as sleek as I would like it looking, but I feel it is a massive improvement on last time and I may even try another without having to!
Oh, I am still recording this as the MSE Challenge, but we had to move from MSE as we weren't welcome anymore. We have moved to a new forum at http://npaa.forumotion.co.uk/ . We discuss nails and stuff and everyone is welcome, so please come along.
Now for the pictures.

BFF Challenge - Texture and awesome nail mail
Must admit the texture challenge had me stumped for days, i just didn't know what to do. I did dabble with a glitter gradient, but it just wasn't getting me. Then I was going to do a ciate style caviar manicure, but to be honest it looked pants and I hate the way there are gaps. So I used the balls to go on like studs in a leather jacket. But instead of a leather jacket I used my new Kiko Duochrome pinky/gold. Must admit I am completely in love with the results.

Sally Of Nail Pron
In addition to the lovely nails I have received some fabby nail mail. Last weekend I got a few Sally Hansen Insta-dri's from a £1 shop near me. They were such a joy to apply and to use I had a scout on the internet and found some more of the lovelies. Also, they are good to stamp with :) So, I got the following shades!

From left to right : Petal Pusher, Slick Slate, Quick Sand, Essie Ridge Filling Basecoat, Silver Sweep, Golden Flash and Metallic Moment
Finally there was Whirlwind White, Blue Streak and Blue Brisk.
I paid £1.50 each for the Sally Hansen's and £2.50 for the base coat from http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk and the postage was only £2.99 for first class and my order from Thursday night arrived this morning (Saturday). Would thoroughly recommend them for anyone interested. They have lots of discounted brands. ( even Butter London for £9.99)

31 Day Challenge #15 Delicate Print
Sorry this is a day late, but things as explained in the post before were all at sixes and sevens. It won't be a long post, but I just wanted to get the pictures up and out there.
Here is my delicate pattern. Using one of my new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's in Emerald Express and a stamp with Konad M71. I am really pleased with how it looks.

A Few Days Away - Not So Much Joy
Sorry I have been away for a few days. Things have been manic family and work wise and it all got the better of me and the migraine I had been suffering from for a week or three exploded and made me exhausted. However, I was ahead with my nail paints, so I just need to catch up with my posting of them.
Firstly, here is my MSE nails of the week. We are on Metallic, and I decided to use one of my wonderful new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's. It is called Bronze Ablaze, but I really loved using it. The consistency was excellent and it was opaque with one coat, although I did actually put two on because I am just so used doing it. Here are the wonderful pictures.

Although be warned, there is 174 pages of nail polish chat to get through!

31 Day Challenge #11 Spots
Oh I love spots, they are lovely and dotting is my first love. I liked dotting with pens, I love dotting with tools and I adore dotting with stamps. Instead of dreading it like the gradient, I was proper looking forward to this.
Had a bit of luck today and found 5 Sally Hansen Instadry polishes in our local poundland, so snaffled those. They were Uptempo Plum, Presto Pewter, Quick Brick, Bronze Ablaze and Emerald Express. Never owned one of this line of polishes before, but love the Sally Hansens I have so I thought I would give it a go. The colours were also really me. Adore the green, it is just yummy,
Onto the manicure. I have been desperate to use one of my new kiko polishes, therefore I based it around those. I picked a lovely brown/grey/purple ensemble 320 Beige Mauve. I coupled it with one of my new Sally Hansens, Uptempo Plum
Here are the results
Before I go I must admit this post comes courtesy of Westons Raspberry Twist cider. I don't usually drink, but it has gone down very nicely. Following this announcement are the other wonderful un drunk bloggers who are taking part in this challenge.

31 Day Challenge #6 - Violet
Before I got to this post I had the normal worries about what violet actually is. Then I stopped worrying and just dipped my fingers in my purple drawer!
I love purple and have loads of shades, but after the brightness and the grah of the last few posts I wanted something different, So I chose 5 muted shades and to make it even softer I decided to splash on the Leighton Denny Mattifier.
I think it looks really beautiful, and completely different to the last few manicures.
The polishes I have used are
Pinkie - Catrice - Sing : Hey, Dirty-Lilah!
Ring - Sally Hansen - Delphinium
Middle - Catrice - Put Lavender On Agenda
Index - Dior - 694 Forget Me Not
Thumb - Catrice - From Dusk to Dawn
Here are the other people taking part in the challenge.

The Pinkest Yellow Challenge In The West
Well, where to start? I don't like yellow nails. I don't have the skin tone to carry it off, and I don't like the colour. I don't think I actually own a yellow item of clothing!
So, I decided the best thing I could do with this manicure is to make it something I would like. So I set out to make my nails like rhubarb and custard and mainly covered them with pink! However, I do have yellow feature nail and yellow tips on the pink ones.
All I can say is I am very glad that yellow is over! What do you think?
For added information I used Sally Hansen, Hard as Nails 610 Hard Lemonade and Colour Club pale pink which was unnamed in a set.
